In your day-to-day life, you are:

  • A consultant at UNESCO in the Culture Sector, I also teach English at the University of Marne-la-Vallée.

Why volunteer for Pesinet?

  • Fully believing in Pesinet’s approach in the reduction of infant mortality, I wanted to make a contribution to the organization’s efforts. Early childhood is such a pivotal time in child development and Pesinet’s work helps make this stage of development as healthy as it possibly can be. The low cost for families and the quality of care for young children is what makes Pesinet such a promising programme.

Your role, your contribution?

  • I spent one month in Bamako in 2008 to provide organizational and logistical support to the pilot project. With the project coordinator Cheicknè Coulibaly, I participated in developing and implementing new operating procedures with regard to prescriptions and medicines and helped set up new partnerships with local actors. I also helped test and monitor the software tools.
