Seven Heroes are running for Pesinet, and they need your help !

The Heroes Race is a sports challenge – you need to run 6km – but above all it’s a solidarity challenge. Participants run in favor of a non-profit organisation that they would like to help. In order to be allowed to attend the event, each participant needs to have raised at least 300€, for the benefit of the NGO that they have chosen to support. It’s a new form of fundraising, based on the internet and on social networks, enabling each person to rally their personal circle around a cause they want to defend.

This year’s Heroes Race will take place on June 26th at l’Ile de Monsieur in Saint Cloud.

Seven Pesinet supporters have enrolled. Three of them have not yet collected the necessary funds to be allowed to run on D Day. You can support their brave initiative and support Pesinet’s activities by contributing to their fundraising.

The process is very simple:

1. Go to the team’s page: http://2011.coursedesheros.fr/pesinetmogow
2. Pick the team member you’d like to support (please, give priority to Dorothée Dalaine, Antoine Moreau and Pierre Carpentier)
3. Make a donation on their personal fundraising page.

There is no minimum amount for donations, each contribution is important to enable the person to participate in the event. Moreover, if you live in France, 66% of the amount of your donation can be deducted from your taxes. In the end, a 30€ donation will only cost you 10!

Nota Bene:

  • Fundraising closes 48 hours before the Race, i.e. on the 24th.
  • Participants who will not have reached their fundraising objective will not be allowed to run.
  • Nevertheless, all collected funds will still be given to the NGO.

Pesinet is currently developing at a fast pace : the number of children enrolled in the service more than tripled in one year, the team is growing, and opening of 2 new sites is planned for 2011. All these projects are generating soaring funding needs, and funds collected through the Heroes Race can
represent a significant contribution.
