After the National e-Health Agency in Mali was awarded the TIGA AWARD 2011 for its involvement in the development of mhealth initiatives in Mali, a TV report describing the different programs was broadcast on national TV as part of a TV show dedicated to Information and Communciation Technologies called “CyberNTIC”. The show includes a 7-minute TV report on PESINET.
The Director of the National e-Health Agency, PESINET’s partner, explains in the report PESINET’s mission, objectives and methodology. He describes the technological tools developed by PESINET (mobile and web applications) for child health monitoring.
The former Communication and New technologies Minister (in charge at the time) as well as a Member of Parliament in Mali, interviewed during a field visit, emphasize their support for this innovative program providing a relevant response to child healthcare challenges in Mali.
« The implementation of PESINET is for Malian public authorities a sure way to address the challenges of reaching the objectives 4 & 5 of the Millennium Development Goals and to help reach the objectives defined in the National Program for Health Development (PRODESS) which guides all governement’s efforts in the healthcare field” says the report.
